CAMI has recently launched a water treatment plant for a prestigious Spanish ceramics group. Renewing their trust in our technology, the client entrusted us with the creation of an innovative wastewater treatment system for their ceramic slab production line, which includes surface treatments such as lapping and various finishes. The system has a wastewater flow rate of 600 m³/h and is designed to ensure excellent quality treated water, which is critical for the production of large, lapped slabs in plants operating 24/7.

The system features low-height purification tanks, offering numerous advantages. Firstly, they enable significant energy savings due to the reduced geodetic head required to manage the flow rates, and they reduce wear and tear on pumping systems. This results in up to a 30% reduction in electricity consumption compared to traditional systems with tall above-ground silos/settling tanks.

The operator finds daily inspections easier compared to traditional silos that can exceed 10 meters in height. Additionally, the new compact design of the structures reduces visual impact and significantly lowers the costs of foundations and ancillary metal structures.

The system is modular and expandable, making it easily reusable for different locations. The combination of the sedimentation compartment with our innovative continuous decantation efficiency control system further improves the quality of treated water and reduces chemical consumption by up to 15% compared to traditional systems.

To ensure stable water quality parameters, such as suspended solids and controlled particle sizes, CAMI has integrated self-cleaning mechanical filters. These filters regenerate automatically using the process’s own water, eliminating the need for external water supplies.

The system features interconnected electrical panels that communicate with each other and the company network, allowing for full automation based on production needs. Additionally, the plant can be monitored remotely via PC or smartphone, enabling status checks at any time of day.

We believe we have made significant strides in combating the waste of a precious resource like water and in energy savings. We have enhanced the efficiency and reliability of our systems, which are crucial for the ceramic industry to maintain its technological leadership and the quality of its finished products.
